AMES, Ia. — Gov. Kim Reynolds was in an upbeat mood Wednesday as she signed into law one of her signature achievements of the year: a wide-ranging tax package that cuts income and property taxes and realigns Iowa’s mental health funding system.
“Ooh, it’s a great day in Iowa, right?” she said, eliciting cheers from Republican lawmakers, lobbyists and mental health advocates assembled at the YSS Youth Recovery House in Ames.
